FREE SCRAP TIRE COLLECTION EVENT OCT. 12-26 AT BVR COLLECTION STATION

  

Washington County and BVR Waste and Recycling will host a free scrap tire collection event for local residents to get rid of old tires.

The event runs October 12-26 at the BVR Collection Station in Brenham at 2009 Old Chappell Hill Road.  It is open to all Brenham, Burton and Washington County residents.

Households can bring up to eight passenger vehicle tires to be disposed of at no charge.  Proof of residency is required.

The collection event is only for non-commercial customers; commercial accounts will be charged normal fees.

Rims, off-road equipment, agricultural tires or pieces of tires will not be accepted.

Hours at the BVR Collection Station during the event are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
