BRENHAM POLICE ARREST ONE ON SATURDAY FOR ASSAULT, ANOTHER FOR DWI
Two people were arrested Saturday charged with various counts including Assault.
Brenham Police report that early morning at 12:25, Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Drumm Street on a vehicle for a moving violation. Investigation revealed that the driver, Jonathon Marth, 38 of Brenham, showed signs of intoxication and he was in possession of a firearm. Marth was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container and for Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
Then Saturday night at 10:05, Officers responded to the 1000 block of West First Street regarding a physical disturbance. Investigation revealed, Lee Roger Sierra, 46 of Brenham, assaulted another family member. Sierra was placed in custody without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for Assault of a Family or Household Member by Impeding Breath or Circulation.
