WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court will be meeting in regular session on Tuesday morning.

Among the agenda items are a couple of requests for funding from the Hotel Occupancy Tax Reserves. The items are $25,000 for Brenham/Washington County’s hosting of the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street Project, and $20,000 for Geiger and Associates Major Media Press Trip in November.

Commissioners will also act upon the approval of a contract between Washington County and PlanNorth LLC for Architectural Services. The services are for additional office space, records, and storage at the old ATS Irrigation Building at 2509 Highway 105.

They will also be holding a public hearing regarding lowering the speed limit on a section on Bosse Road from FM 1155 to Krueger Road in Precinct One to 45 mph.

After the public hearing, they will take a vote on approval.

Other agenda items include advertising for bids for the Jail Kitchen Project, and approving Mass Gathering permit and Right of Way permits for the 2024 Scarecrow Festival in Chappell Hill.

The Washington County Commissioners meet Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
