BLINN LIVESTOCK JUDGING AT STATE FAIR OF TEXAS
The Blinn College livestock judging teams showcased their skill at the State Fair of Texas with standout performances by individual competitors and impressive team placements in the sophomore and freshman divisions.
Blinn placed third with 4,612 points in the sophomore competition, and its freshman team was second with 4,242 points in the novice division.
Owen Seidenberger topped the pro division and Paige Zimprich led the novice competition. Seidenberger was first in swine and reasons, second in sheep/goats, and fifth in cattle. Zimprich was second in swine, fourth in cattle, sixth in reasons, and 14th in sheep/goats.
In the team competition, Blinn’s sophomore squad was second in reasons and third in cattle, sheep/goats, and swine. The freshman team topped the reasons and swine competitions, placed third in sheep/goats, and finished fourth in cattle.
In the sophomore individual competition, Lane Hogan was seventh, Lane Higbie was 20th, and Shelby Cones was 21st.
In the individual freshman competition, Kaleigh Conant was third overall, Kenna Schram placed fifth, Jhett West was sixth, and Sage Schenk was 11th.
