CUB GOLF OPENS SEASON AT COLUMBUS DAY INVITATIONAL IN MONT BELVIEU
The Brenham Cub Golf Team open their fall season by taking part in the Columbus Day Invitational hosted by Barbers Hill at the Eagle Pointe Golf Club in Mont Belvieu.
The Cubs placed ninth overall out of 23 teams. 18 of those teams were Class 6A. Brenham was one of four 5A teams, and there was only one 4A team in the field
The Cub Varstiy team was also made up of three freshmen and two sophomores, which makes the feat more impressive.
Holt Gillentine led Brenham shooting a 78 and 77, for a two-day total of 155. Luke Alford was second on the Cubs with a 77 and a 79 for a two-day total of 156.
Rounding out the two-day totals for Brenham were:
Caleb Klussmann - 87 and 78 for 165
Bryce Siemsglusz - 86 and 86 for 172
Kyle Curtis - 91 and 97 for 188
Next up, the Cubs will host the Brenham Tournament, which runs November 8-9 at the Brenham Country Club.
