OVER 12,400 EARLY VOTERS AS VOTING WINDS DOWN
Early voting numbers fell on Wednesday, with just two days of early voting left.
Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson says Wednesday drew 859 participants, only the second time during this early voting cycle thus far that a day’s turnout has been less than 1,000. The other occurrence was during shortened weekend hours on Sunday, with 615 people casting a ballot.
There have been 12,409 early voters through the end of Wednesday, which Jackson says is 48 percent of registered voters.
Today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) are the final days of early voting at the Washington County Courthouse Annex, which is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. No weekend voting will be available.
Election Day is Tuesday.
