THREE-WAY RACE FOR U.S. CONGRESS DISTRICT 10
With early voting winding down, candidates are making their final call to voters to head to the ballot box and make sure their voices are heard.
One important race on the ballot is the 10th Congressional District of Texas, currently represented by Republican Michael McCaul of Austin. McCaul, who is serving his tenth term, is challenged by Democrat Theresa Boisseau of Austin and Libertarian Jeff Miller of Bryan.
McCaul, who is Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and is Chairman Emeritus of the House Homeland Security Committee, says his priorities are strengthening the economy, growing jobs and improving national security, both in domestic and international matters.
Boisseau, who formerly taught in Austin ISD and is now a realtor with Keller Williams, says renewable energy, election ease of access and women’s reproductive rights are topics of importance to her. She strives to be transparent with her constituents and be in tune with what matters to them.
Miller, who was chosen to run as the Libertarian candidate after Bill Kelsey could not pay the fees to appear on the ballot, says his goal is to have the government take a back seat and have the power truly lie with voters.
Election Day is Tuesday. Tomorrow (Friday) is the final day of early voting.
