BRENHAM POLICE APPREHEND JUVENILE, SEARCHING FOR TWO OTHER SUSPECTS AFTER CHASE FOLLOWING STOLEN VEHICLE REPORT
Brenham police say one person was taken into custody and two others are at large after a report of a stolen vehicle early this (Wednesday) morning led to a pursuit in Washington and Burleson counties.
Just after 3 a.m., police responded to the 300 block of Meadow Brook Lane for a reported stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was later located in Burleson County. According to Burleson County Chief Deputy Bill Rios, the sheriff’s office received information about the vehicle and located it through OnStar. Rios says an officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled, leading to a pursuit by the sheriff’s office back into Washington County.
OnStar deactivated the vehicle, which led to three male subjects fleeing from the vehicle on foot near the 6700 block of FM 390, close to Sun Oil Road. One of those subjects, a juvenile, was apprehended and later released to Washington County Juvenile Probation.
Brenham police say the case is still under investigation and that no further information, including on the at-large suspects, can be released at this time. Brenham Police Chief Lloyd Powell says the department does not believe there is any danger to the public, and they are actively working leads.
Well I live a mile from Oilfield rd should’ve be looking in my barn for the suspects???
