3 REDNECK TENORS TO PERFORM CHRISTMAS SHOW AT THE BARNHILL CENTER
A theatrical musical comedy production by The 3 Redneck Tenors will be presented at The Barnhill Center for Christmas. The fun-filled show will be Saturday December 14th starting at 7pm.
The 3 Redneck Tenors are a new breed in the “tenor genre.” Since 2004, the classically trained veteran artists have delighted audiences with their vocal prowess and their down-home humor. It’s a side-splitting show that has been described as “the Blue Collar Comedy Tour goes to Carnegie Hall.”
These top finalists on “America's Got Talent” deliver a spectacular assortment of Christmas songs ranging from Country to Broadway to Classical and everything in between.
“This is one of the most entertaining and inspirational Christmas shows on tour,” said Sharon Brass, The Barnhill Center producer. “It has been said that if Larry the Cable Guy, Il Divo, and Mrs. Doubtfire had a baby, that child would be The 3 Redneck Tenors.”
Trained at such prestigious institutions as the Julliard School of Music, The 3 Redneck Tenors have performed at The Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Tokyo Opera House, Theater Neue Flora and many more important venues. They were also featured on "The Tonight show with Jimmy Fallon."
The show was created and written by opera veteran Matthew Lord with music arranged by award-winning composer Craig Bohmler. The stars are Mr. Lord, Blake Davidson, and Grace Lord.
Matthew Lord is a graduate of Julliard Opera Center and has performed in almost every major opera house in the U.S. He made his New York Metropolitan Opera debut in January 2004 in “Boris Godunov,” and he also performed in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Phantom of the Opera” in the Hamburg Germany production.
Blake Davidson is an award-winning singer whose range of experience includes Opera, Symphony, and Musical Theatre. He has performed all over the world including solo concerts at NYU, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Tokyo Opera House. He has sung with the Anchorage Opera and the Dallas Opera, and is a featured soloist on the Dallas Symphony’s Christmas CD. Early in his career he was seen off-Broadway at 2nd Stage, and as the ringmaster for the Shrine circus.
Grace Lord has been in the entertainment industry since she was born. She lived in New York for four years studying Musical Theatre under Tony Award Winners Judith Ivey and Victoria Clark, and Emmy Award Winner Andre Braugher. She has been part of The 3 Redneck Tenors since it was created.
