NAVASOTA HIGH SCHOOL TO PERFORM “THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE”
Students from Navasota High School will be bringing a classic tale to life later this week.
The NHS Rattler Theatre Company is going to present “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” Thursday thru Saturday at the Brosing Performing Arts Center.
The play is written by Joseph Robinette, and based on the novel by C.S. Lewis.
“The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” was first published in 1950. It was the first novel in Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia” series.
It tells the story of four siblings: Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. They are evacuated from London in 1940 to escape the Blitz, and sent to live with a professor in the English countryside.
While there, they undercover a secret passageway through a wardrobe that leads them on a magical adventure into the world of Narnia.
The doors open each evening at 5:30pm, with the shows scheduled to start at 6pm.
Tickets are $8 for the general public, and $5 for students and staff.
They can either be purchased in advance at the High School’s front desk, or at the door of the Performing Arts Center on the evening of the performance.
