TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED MONDAY

  

Two people were arrested in separate incidents Monday.

Brenham Police report that Monday morning at 7:30, Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Austin Street. Investigation revealed that the driver Nicholas Gazaway, 45 of Brenham, showed to have two active warrants for his arrest. Gazaway was placed in custody and transported to Washington County Jail where he was booked in for his active warrants and booked in for Display of Expired Registration and for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

Then Monday morning at 9:20, Officer Garrett Downs was dispatched to the 900 block of Hasskarl Drive for a report of a verbal disturbance. Investigation revealed that one of the parties showed to have an active warrant for her arrest. Shekyra Punchard, 33 of Brenham, was placed in custody. Punchard was transported to Washington County Jail where she was booked in.
