WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO AWARD SPRING 2025 HOT FUNDS
Washington County Commissioners will consider recommendations for hotel occupancy tax (HOT) grant funding disbursements for the spring at their meeting Tuesday.
HOT funds are presented twice a year, once for the fall and again in the spring, to local tourism organizations in support of their operations or promotion of special events. Funding amounts are determined by the county’s HOT fund committee.
In June, the county awarded $15,320 in HOT funds to four organizations for the fall 2024 cycle.
In other business on Tuesday, commissioners will potentially move forward with a request for qualifications for professional services related to architectural/site planning and engineering services. The court will also consider approving the purchase of new rodeo and livestock equipment.
Additional items will include the reappointment of members to the Washington County Historical Commission, approving a job description for a part-time marketing position dedicated to the Washington County Expo, and setting the dates and times for commissioners court meetings in 2025.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
