UPTOWN SWIRL SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM
While the weather early next week might be frightful, tomorrow (Saturday) looks to be delightful for the 13th Annual Uptown Swirl in downtown Brenham.
Brenham Main Street Manager Leigh Linden, visiting on Tuesday’s Community Corner on KWHI, says visitors will be able to check out around three dozen businesses and locations from 3 to 7 p.m. and try out a varied assortment of wines.
Some wineries will be on hand to discuss the processes they use with their wines, and some wines will be for sale. Live music will be performed on the courthouse gazebo.
Sunshine and mid-50 degree temperatures are expected tomorrow.
As of this (Friday) morning, Linden said about 60 tickets were still available for the Swirl at www.downtownbrenham.com/swirl or by scanning QR codes at downtown stores. Tickets will be exchanged at the event for commemorative wine glasses and wristbands starting at 2 p.m.
Any remaining tickets are $40 in stores and $45 online.
Proceeds benefit Main Street Brenham and its continued revitalization and beautification efforts in downtown.
Sponsors include Champagne Sponsor Kelli Dozier State Farm Insurance, Cabernet Sponsor Deep in the Heart Farms, and Pinot Grigio Sponsors 96 West / 30 North and Hermann Furniture.
A full list of locations participating in the Swirl can be seen at www.downtownbrenham.com/swirl.
