BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM TO HOST TEXAS INDEPENDENCE COMMEMORATION MARCH 6

The Brenham Heritage Museum will honor the accomplishments of early Texians in their fight for independence at a special event next week.

On Alamo Day – Thursday, March 6th – the museum will host historian and former museum executive director Mike Vance.  Vance, the author of “Undertold Texas”, will present a lecture highlighting lesser-known facts from the Texas Revolution and offering a new perspective on the individuals whose roles in the struggle for Texas independence have not received widespread recognition.

Vance’s lecture will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public.  A members-only reception will be held prior to the presentation, starting at 4 p.m.  After the lecture, attendees will be able to meet Vance and purchase signed copies of his book.

Admission is free for museum members and $5 for non-members.  Guests are encouraged to RSVP by emailing their name and party size to admin@brenhamheritagemuseum.org or calling the museum at 979-830-8445.
