SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR DWI, DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVALID
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests on Tuesday.
At 1:30 a.m., Corporal Adam Zavala initiated a traffic stop in the 600 block of Highway 290 West for failure to drive in a single lane. The sheriff’s office says the driver displayed signs of intoxication, so he was taken into custody. 24-year-old Manuel Duran of Charlotte, Texas was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
Around 3:45 a.m., Corporal Rosa Salinas conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Chappell Hill and Mangrum Streets for failing to stop at a stop sign. A routine check indicated that the driver, 35-year-old Jared Jermaine Peterson of Navasota, had a local arrest warrant for Driving While License Invalid/Suspended. Peterson was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking without incident.
