WASHINGTON CO. OFFICES TO CLOSE MONDAY FOR TEXAS INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY; CITY OF BRENHAM OFFICES STILL OPEN
Monday is the observance of Texas Independence Day for Washington County offices.
The observance is a county holiday, falling after the actual Texas Independence Day on Sunday. As a result, county offices and departments will be closed on Monday.
All City of Brenham offices and facilities will be open and operating normally on Monday. The next holiday for the city and county will be Good Friday on April 18th.
Sunday marks the 189th anniversary of Texas’ declaration of independence from Mexico in 1836.
