BRENHAM PD ARRESTS TWO AFTER METH, COCAINE, OTHER SUBSTANCES FOUND DURING SEARCH OF RESIDENCE
Two people face multiple drug charges after an operation by Brenham police led to investigators discovering numerous narcotics.
At about 6 a.m. Friday, the Brenham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Emile Street as the result of a three-month investigation.
When law enforcement arrived at the residence, 39-year-old Roderick Sanders of Navasota and 35-year-old Brande Russell of Brenham were both arrested for active warrants. During a search of the residence, investigators reported locating crystal methamphetamine, liquid methamphetamine, crack cocaine, oxycodone pills, THC wax and marijuana.
Investigators also confirmed that two children lived at the residence.
Sanders was charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams; Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 4-400 Grams; Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. in a Drug-Free Zone; Endangering a Child; and his warrant out of Washington County for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams.
Russell was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams; Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. in a Drug-Free Zone; Endangering a Child; and three warrants out of Brenham Municipal Court from previous traffic offenses, including two for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility and one for Display/Expired Registration.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team and Washington County EMS assisted with the operation.
