FAITH MISSION WELCOMES SPRING INTERN
Faith Mission welcomes its newest spring intern to Washington County.

Faith Mission Executive Director Rev. Randy Wells.
Sisson plans to graduate this May from
Prairie View A&M University.
Knia Sisson is spending part of her spring semester with Faith Mission through her coursework at Prairie View A&M University.
Since starting her internship in January, Sisson says she has worked on several projects with Faith Mission, including co-authoring a grant application, studying population health within Washington County, and helping educate and mentor students in the SMART-CARE Kids program.
Sisson says seeing what Faith Mission does for the community has given her a greater appreciation for community service and taught her the importance of having a mentality of “less of me and more of we.”
Sisson is set to graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in health and plans to pursue a master’s degree in health administration, with a goal of becoming an administrator in a hospital or clinical setting and potentially opening her own clinic.
Since 2009, Faith Mission has provided field practicum and real world training to students and prospective social workers from colleges and universities around Texas and out-of-state.
Faith Mission is celebrating 40 years of service to Washington County.
