ROBERT HEMMINGER HIRED AS NAVASOTA’S NEW CITY MANAGER

  

The City of Navasota on Wednesday announced the hiring of Robert Hemminger as its next city manager.

Hemminger has served for the past four years as the city manager for Iowa Colony in Brazoria County.  His career has included almost 30 years of public service-related roles like emergency services director, emergency management coordinator, communications manager, police officer, firefighter, deputy fire marshal/arson investigator and 911 telecommunicator.

Navasota Mayor Bert Miller said the city is excited to welcome Hemminger as the new city manager, adding, “His deep experience in public service, strong leadership, and dedication to community values make him an excellent fit for Navasota.”

Hemminger received a master of business administration from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and a bachelor’s degree in public service leadership from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.

The city expects Hemminger will begin his role in the coming weeks.
