LEE CO. FAIR OPENS WITH PARADE SATURDAY
Activities kick off this weekend for the Lee County Fair in Giddings.
The schedule begins with the fair parade on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park. The theme this year is “College Tailgate”, and awards will go to the top entries in the parade.
The Queens Pageant will follow on Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Giddings High School Auditorium.
The rest of the fair events will take place at Giddings Fireman’s Park from May 15-17, including carnival games and rides, a 42 Domino tournament, cornhole, a barbecue cook-off, a car show, and live music throughout the weekend.
Entertainment on Thursday, May 15th will be the Tejano Queen Forever Band, a Selena tribute group, at 7 p.m. Casey Donahew will take the stage on Friday, May 16th at 9:30 p.m. Headliner Braxton Keith will perform on Saturday, May 17th at 10 p.m.
