CARLI KOEHNE SWORN IN AS WASHINGTON CO. DISTRICT CLERK

Washington County’s newly named interim district clerk was sworn into office this (Wednesday) morning.

Carli Koehne received the oath of office from 335th District Judge John Winkelmann, alongside 21st District Judge Carson Campbell.  County commissioners met Tuesday to approve Koehne’s bond payment to serve as district clerk.

Koehne has been an employee of Washington County for 28 years.  During that time, she has worked in the offices of the county clerk, treasurer, and most recently the county judge as an executive administrative assistant.

Koehne fills the district clerk position following the resignation of Kimberley Boyce on May 20th.  Boyce was unopposed in the November 2024 election to serve out the unexpired term of the late Tammy Brauner, who stepped down in May 2024.  Brauner’s term began in January 2023 and continues through 2026.

District Court Coordinator Marissa Daniels said of Koehne, “We are pleased to have her continue her career with Washington County and are eager to see the great things she does for the district clerk’s office.”
