BLUE BELL ISSUES VOLUNTARY RECALL AFTER SOME MOO-LLENNIUM CRUNCH PUT IN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH CARTONS
Blue Bell has voluntarily recalled a limited quantity of Moo-llenium Crunch Ice Cream after some tubs were packaged in the wrong container.
The company says the products in question were mistakenly packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cartons with a Moo-llenium Crunch lid. Since the products contain undeclared almond, walnut and pecan, people with allergies or sensitivity to those nuts would be risking a severe reaction if they consume those ice cream products.
According to Blue Bell, the products came from the Brenham plant and were discovered by a Blue Bell employee, who discovered the incorrect packaging on two half gallons while restocking a trailer.
The company says no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date, and no other incorrect packaging has been found thus far.
The affected products have the code 061027524 on the top of the half gallon lid. They were distributed through retail outlets in Alabama, Arkansas, the Florida Panhandle, Northwest Georgia, Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Southwest Virginia.
Customers who purchased the item can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Questions can be directed to Blue Bell’s consumer relations team at 979-836-7977 or consumerrelations@bluebell.com.
