FIVE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Five people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.
35-year-old Coma Lee Bradley of Washington, sentenced to 3 years in prison for Assault Recklessly Impeding Breath or Circulation to a Family Member with Previous Conviction and Assault of a Family Member with Previous Conviction, both third degree felonies. Bradley was also sentenced to 454 days in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.
26-year-old Vincent Francisco Watkis of Houston, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 3 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony. Watkis must also pay a $2,000 fine.
35-year-old Denarik Lonte Gray of Humble, sentenced to 12 months in state jail for Theft of Property $2,500 - $30,000, a state jail felony.
35-year-old Miguel Angel Lopez of Houston, sentenced to 3 years’ probation for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger Under 15 Years of Age, a state jail felony. Lopez was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and $100 to the EMS trauma fund, perform 75 hours of community service, complete a DWI education program and have an interlock device installed on his vehicle for one year.
39-year-old Christopher Jamal Smith of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony. Smith must also pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
