WASHINGTON CO. FIREFIGHTERS PUT OUT STRUCTURE & VEHICLE FIRE AT OUR INTEGRITY WORKS

  

Update: Firefighters spent several hours on Friday at the scene of a structure and vehicle fire at the Our Integrity Works building in Brenham.

City of Brenham Communications and Public Relations Manager Melinda Gordon says there were no injuries stemming from the call, which was originally reported around 5 p.m. in the 2100 block of South Market Street. 

The Brenham Fire Department reports that units made location to find the shop area of the building fully involved, with heavy fire and smoke.  Members of the Chappell Hill, Meyersville and Salem Volunteer Fire Departments responded to provide additional manpower.

The departments extinguished the fire and performed overhaul, with the help of a skid steer.  Firefighters cleared the scene around 9 p.m.

Also assisting at the scene were the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County EMS. 

The fire is under investigation. 

Original Story: Several Washington County fire departments are at the scene of a structure and vehicle fire call this (Friday) afternoon in Brenham.

Firefighters responded around 5 p.m. to a report of a structure fire along South Market Street, across from PNC Bank and near the intersection with East Stone Street.  According to City of Brenham Communications and Public Relations Manager Melinda Gordon, a vehicle was also on fire.

Members of the Brenham Fire Department and the Chappell Hill and Salem Volunteer Fire Departments are on location.

The scene remains active, and the public is asked to avoid the area.
