AUCTION DAY FRIDAY AT AUSTIN CO. FAIR
Today (Friday) is the day for the youth livestock auction at the 98th Annual Austin County Fair.
The sale gets underway at 10 a.m. in the Expo building at the fairgrounds in Bellville, with hundreds of sale lots to be featured.
Today’s activities at the fair will also include the country store, carnival and rodeo. This evening’s entertainment will have a comedy rodeo-style variety show with Gizmo McCracken at 5 and 7 p.m., David Lewis at 8 p.m. and Braxton Keith at 10 p.m.
It is also Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day, where the Austin County Fair Association will donate $1 to the American Cancer Society for every pink ribbon given out at the gate to someone wearing pink.
KTEX-106’s David and Cowboy Dave will be at the fair for live reports in the KTEX Country Cruiser. David will also introduce tonight’s bands.
