Bryan police provided an update today (Monday) stating they have issued an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Cado Sakai Traylor for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  The charge is in connection to the shooting death of 27-year-old DeBrandon Charles, also of Brenham, on September 29th in the 2400 block of Jaguar Drive.

Traylor has been in custody at the Washington County Jail since October 3rd on unrelated charges.  He was sentenced last week in Washington County District Court to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, stemming from a shooting incident in Brenham in September 2023

Bryan police responded on September 29th around 6:15 a.m. for shots fired at a residence on Jaguar Drive.  According to police, three individuals were involved in a physical altercation that resulted in the shots being fired in a parking lot.

Charles was found at the scene with life-threatening gunshot wounds.  He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
