SIX SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Six people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.
37-year-old Reginald Francius Huey of Caldwell, sentenced to 6 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams, a third degree felony.
34-year-old Zachary Edward Toner of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years in prison for Abandoning/Endangering a Child, a second degree felony.
40-year-old Kevin C. Alexander of Lindale, sentenced to 38 days in the Washington County Jail – running concurrent with charges out of Angelina County – for Theft of Property $2,500 - $30,000, a state jail felony.
25-year-old Jose Andres Ramirez Garcia of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third degree felony. Garcia was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 160 hours of community service, complete a batterers intervention program and maintain no contact with the victim in the case.
20-year-old Kayla Nicole Benton of Dallas, sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony. Benton was also ordered to pay a $750 fine, perform 120 hours of community service and maintain no contact with the victim or co-defendants in the case.
35-year-old Lawrence Albert Monticolo Jr. of Magnolia, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony. Monticolo must also pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
