FIVE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Five people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court, before Judge Carson Campbell.
26-year-old Bailey Lynn Tompkins of Channelview, sentenced to 4 years in prison for Harassment by a Person in a Correctional Facility and Assault of a Public Servant, both third degree felonies.
21-year-old Jaquaveon Jadarrius Davis of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony. Davis was also fined $500 and ordered to complete a drug offender education program.
39-year-old James Edwin Ford of Austin, sentenced to 3 years’ probation for Criminal Mischief $2,500 - $30,000, a state jail felony. Ford must also pay $6,991 in restitution and complete a drug offender education program.
25-year-old Timothy Ray Ragston Jr. of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Abandoning/Endangering a Child, a state jail felony. Ragston must also pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service, complete a batterers intervention program, and maintain no contact with the victim and complaining witness in the case.
26-year-old Jacinto Perez-Gonzales of Somerville, sentenced to 90 days in the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony. Perez-Gonzales was also ordered to pay $180 in restitution and has an immigration hold.
