NINE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Nine people pleaded guilty and were sentenced last week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.
23-year-old Javantrell Bernard Griffin-Jones of Brenham, sentenced to 6 years in prison for Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony.
31-year-old Malcolm Jerome Blake of Bryan, sentenced to 5 years in prison for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, a second degree felony.
29-year-old Jordan Lewis of Franklin, Indiana, sentenced to 5 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony.
25-year-old Gregory Paul Garcia of Brenham, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years in prison for Assault of a Pregnant Person, a third degree felony. He was also sentenced to 4 years in prison for Violation of a Protective Order with Two or More Previous Convictions, a third degree felony.
40-year-old Rachel Lynn Williams of Washington, probation revoked and sentenced to 4 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony.
34-year-old Michelle Lee Williams of Abilene, sentenced to 24 months in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.
27-year-old Austin Dwayne Adair of Waller, sentenced to 8 months in state jail for Theft of Copper and Burglary of a Building, both state jail felonies.
44-year-old Rita Joyce Fentress of Bellville, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 180 days in the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.
41-year-old Jason Wayne Dees of Burton, sentenced to 5 years’ probation for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a third degree felony. Dees must also spend 10 days in the Washington County Jail as a condition of probation, pay $100 to the EMS trauma fund, complete a DWI education program and have an interlock device installed on his vehicle.
