The owners of Kieke Egg Farm in Burton announced on social media today (Friday) that the business is closing.  The family-owned farm has produced farm-fresh eggs since being founded in 1959, and has long been a supporter of many community events, from the Washington County Fair to the Spring Eggs Art Walk in downtown Brenham.

Owners Ricky and Debbie Kieke, Angie Kieke Fritsch and Abby Kieke Majewski, wrote, “For 66 years, our farm has been more than a business – it has been a way of life.  We’ve been blessed to share our eggs, our story, and our family’s commitment to quality with so many of you.”

The owners thank their customers, business partners and community supporters for their “trust, friendship, and encouragement.”  They add, “Though the hens may be quieting, the lessons learned and relationships formed will continue to guide our family.  The Kieke name will always be connected to this community, the people, and the values that built this farm from the ground up.”
