EAST ENTRANCE OF WASHINGTON CO. COURTHOUSE NOW CLOSED

As construction continues outside the Washington County Courthouse, county officials have announced that the courthouse’s east side entrance is now closed.

In a notice this (Tuesday) afternoon, the county said the entrance on Baylor Street will no longer be available for use, effective immediately.

Because of the ongoing second phase of the courthouse exterior restoration project, both entrance and exit access on the east side will be fully blocked.  The county said the closure is necessary to address safety concerns related to construction activities.

All employees and visitors must strictly use the west side entrance of the courthouse on Park Street for entry and exit, until further notice.

The county apologizes for any inconveniences caused and said it appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as it works to improve the courthouse and ensure everyone’s safety during the project.
