EIGHT SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Eight people were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court, before Judge Carson Campbell.
36-year-old Quashaleque Alex of Brenham, probation adjudicated after a hearing and without recommendation from the State to 5 years in prison for Injury to a Disabled Individual Causing Serious Bodily Injury, a first degree felony.
21-year-old Jamerius Hudgen of Brenham, sentenced to 10 years in prison for Robbery, a second degree felony.
23-year-old Tremane Cole Daniels of Brenham, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years in prison for Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm, a third degree felony.
29-year-old Luis Serna Rivera, address unknown, sentenced to 180 days in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony. Rivera has an immigration hold.
35-year-old Brandon Jerome Patterson of Giddings, sentenced to 5 years’ probation for Theft of Property Less Than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a second degree felony. Patterson must also perform 150 hours of community service and stay away from Walmart.
28-year-old Darshawn Cortrail Veal of Brenham, sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Peace Officer, a second degree felony. Veal must also pay a $500 fine, perform 160 hours of community service, undergo anger management and spend 90 days in the Washington County Jail as a condition of probation.
42-year-old Robert Wayne Weaver of Dayton, sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony. Weaver was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
24-year-old Thayley Sloane Thompson of Brenham, sentenced to 1 year of deferred adjudication probation for Harassment, a Class B misdemeanor. Thompson will also have to pay a $300 fine, perform 40 hours of community service and maintain no contact with the victim in the case.
