KWHI CANDIDATES FORUM WEDNESDAY FOR WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONER, J.P. RACES
KWHI is set to host its second Candidates Forum tonight (Wednesday) for contested races in the March primary election in Washington County.
The forum will get underway at 5:30 p.m. at Brenham National Bank. It will feature candidates running for Precinct 2 and 3 County Commissioner and Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace.
All candidates vying for office are on the Republican ballot.
Running for Precinct 2 Commissioner are Jim Chisolm, William “Bubba” Herrin, Amanda Klehm and Mark Schonefeld. Current Commissioner Candice Bullock is not pursuing another term.
Chad Dismukes and Gil Janner are seeking the Precinct 3 Commissioner’s seat held by Kirk Hanath, who is running for County Judge.
Holly Johnson faces Travis Semora for Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace. The position came open after Douglas Cone declared his candidacy for County Judge.
Candidates will answer questions from the audience, news media and emails sent to mail@kwhi.com.
