SIX SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Six people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court, before Judge Carson Campbell.
46-year-old Michael Leroy Hooper of Brenham, probation revoked and sentenced to 3 years in prison for Assault of a Family Member with Previous Conviction, a third degree felony.
33-year-old Andre Jeroy Robinson Jr. of Houston, probation revoked and sentenced to 6 months in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.
40-year-old Jessica Ann Underwood of Brenham, sentenced to 8 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony. Underwood was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee, perform 120 hours of community service, and complete a drug offender education program.
27-year-old Darion DaShaun Washington of Brenham, sentenced to 8 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony. Washington was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, a $100 fee to a family violence shelter and a $50 crime stoppers fee. In addition, he must also complete a batterers intervention program and complete 120 hours of community service.
46-year-old Billy Joe Davis of Brenham, sentenced to 6 years’ probation for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a third degree felony. Davis must also pay a $500 fine and $100 to the EMS trauma fund, as well as complete a DWI education program, have an interlock device on his vehicle for one year, and perform 100 hours of community service.
60-year-old Larry Michael Vanwey of Brenham, sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a third degree felony. Vanwey will also have to pay a $1,000 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee, maintain no contact with the victim stemming from the case, and perform 120 hours of community service.
