meeting. Miller is retiring as city manager on March
25th.
Councilmembers recognized Miller for her 21 years with the City of Brenham, as she prepares to retire on Wednesday, March 25th. Miller has served as city manager since September 2021 and held several other leadership roles prior to her current position, including finance director, chief financial officer and assistant city manager.
Mayor Atwood Kenjura said Miller has done “an outstanding job” at managing the two things a city needs to survive: revenue and people. He called her leadership “exceptional” and said her qualities act as the foundation for whom the city wishes to have succeed her.
Kenjura then presented Miller with a token of appreciation for her service to the city, and the crowd stood and applauded.
Miller expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the city and the relationships she has formed with her team members and colleagues.
A public reception for Miller will be held on Wednesday, April 1st from 5 to 7 p.m. at Morriss Hall at The Barnhill Center.
