SIX SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Six people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.

58-year-old Dale Scott Boeker of Brenham, sentenced to 7 years in prison for each of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a first degree felony, and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams, a second degree felony.  Boeker was also sentenced to 86 days in the Washington County Jail on each of two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3/4, Less Than 28 Grams, a state jail felony.

31-year-old Telvin D. Quan Gilbert of Houston, sentenced to 294 days in state jail for Theft of Property $2,500 - $30,000, a state jail felony.  Gilbert was also ordered to pay $4,729 in restitution.

31-year-old Jorge Fierro Perez of Manor, sentenced to 8 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a third degree felony.  Perez must also pay a $1,000 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee and perform 150 hours of community service.

53-year-old James Louis Kent of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Indecent Assault, a Class A misdemeanor.  Kent was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, a $50 warrant fee and a $50 crime stoppers fee.  He must also maintain no contact with the victim in the case and perform 100 hours of community service.

40-year-old Timothy Dwayne Merriweather Jr. of Washington, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for two cases of Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, both Class A misdemeanors.  Merriweather will also have to pay a $50 crime stoppers fee and successfully complete a PTSD program. 79-year-old Charles E. Collins Jr. of Brenham, sentenced to 1 year of deferred adjudication probation for Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Class A misdemeanor.  Collins will also have to pay a $500 fine and a $50 crime stoppers fee, perform 50 hours of community service and maintain no contact with the victim.
