HISTORICAL MARKER DEDICATION IN BURTON POSTPONED TO MAY 2; EASTER EGG HUNT MOVED TO COTTON GIN PAVILIONS
A dedication ceremony today (Saturday) in Burton for a new Texas Historical Marker for Senator Matthew Gaines has been postponed due to weather.
The ceremony has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 2nd at 1 p.m. It will still take place at the Long Life Brotherhood Club/Matson Park at 12419 East Branch Street.
The easter egg hunt and other activities are still on for today from 2 to 4 p.m., but they have changed locations.
The events will now be held at the pavilions at the Texas Cotton Gin Museum.
