ITEMS TAKEN IN LOCAL BURGLARY RECOVERED
Items that were taken in a burglary last week have now been found.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, last Friday, April 17, at approximately 6:30am, deputies responded to a burglary of a building in the 4500 block of Highway 290 West.
It was reported that a side bay door had been opened and numerous items were missing consisting of chainsaws, batteries and chargers, weed eaters, key fobs, and backpack blowers that were valued at approximately $11,000.
Additionally, customer deposit checks totaling $8,000 were also taken. Camera footage at the location captured two suspects inside the building as well as their vehicle.
The sheriff’s office received notification yesterday (Wednesday) that the stolen items had been recovered during a traffic stop conducted by the Conroe Police Department.
The case remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.
