ANT STREET INN WELCOMES NEW OWNERS

A beloved boutique hotel and event venue in downtown Brenham is under new ownership.

Community members gathered on Monday for a
ribbon cutting to recognize the new owners of Ant
Street Inn, Connor and Trish Byer (front row, second

owners, Keith and Suzy Hankins (front row, second
from left and far right) for their past 15 years of
managing the inn and event venue.

Representatives from the Washington County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting today (Monday) to welcome Ant Street Inn’s new owners, Connor and Trish Byer.

The inn at 107 West Commerce Street first opened in 1995 under Tommy and Pam Traylor, and has been led for the past 15 years by Keith and Suzy Hankins.  The inn, which celebrated 30 years in business last year, has served as the host for numerous hotel guests and as the site for many weddings and community events.

Trish Byer thanked the Hankins for their guidance and kindness during this transition and said she and Connor are thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the historic venue into the future.

Suzy Hankins said she and Keith have enjoyed every moment of their time with the inn, but they are ready to let someone new take the reins.

While the Hankins will be stepping away from Ant Street Inn, they continue to own and manage the Main Street House bed and breakfast at 409 East Main Street.
