250 YEARS OF CZECH AMERICAN LEGACY BEING CELEBRATED IN FAYETTE COUNTY

  

250 years of Czech American Legacy is being celebrated this Sunday at the Slavnost Mayfest in Fayette County.

The event is being hosted by the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center, which is located at 250 West Fairgrounds Road in La Grange.

The day starts with a Tribute to Czech Immigrants to Texas at 10:30am, followed by a chicken fried chicken dinner being served at 11:30am. Meal tickets are $15 each.

There is also going to be live music by the Vintage Drafts from 11:30am-2:45pm.

The featured attraction is Pardubicka Muzika, an ensemble that performs in the traditional Czech brass band formation and focuses primarily on Czech and Moravian folk music. They will perform from 1-2:45pm.

Other activities for the day include a classic car show, a drawing, a 250 years Czech American Legacy exhibit, a gift shop, cold drinks, pastries, Czech Bingo, and children’s activities.
