BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR WARRANTS, DWI, INVALID LICENSE
The Brenham Police Department arrested four people between Thursday and early this (Friday) morning.
Around 11 a.m. Thursday, Officer Trinten Rolling responded to the 1900 block of South Austin Street in reference to a hit and run. During the investigation, it was revealed that 59-year-old Robert Pursley of Brenham had two active warrants out of Brenham Municipal Court for Display/Expired Registration and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, as well as an active warrant out of Washington County Court at Law for Driving While License Invalid. Pursley was placed into custody and booked into the Washington County Jail.
Just shy of 2:30 p.m., Officers Trinten Rolling and Eric Crosby responded to the 700 block of Medical Parkway in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, police determined that the subject had left the location. After being found near the 1900 block of South Market Street, 22-year-old Brett Eddy of Brenham was shown to have an active warrant out of the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office for Theft of Property $100 - $750. Eddy was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Nearing 5:45 p.m., Officer Stephen Mosley responded to the 2600 block of Highway 36 South in reference to a crash. During investigation, police say they found that 29-year-old Steven Roman Mikulencak of Bellville was operating a motor vehicle with an invalid driver’s license, no insurance, and a previous conviction for Driving While License Invalid. Police also say he had an active warrant out of Washington County for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mikulencak was taken to the Washington County Jail without incident for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced and his active warrant.
Close to 1 a.m. today, Sergeant Jimmy Ha conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Pecan Street. Police report that 35-year-old Veronica Rogers of Brenham was allegedly driving under the influence. Rogers was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
