BRENHAM POLICE MAKE WARRANT ARRESTS FOR THEFT, MARIJUANA POSSESSION
Brenham police made two warrant arrests on Wednesday.
Shortly after 11:45 a.m., Officer Rosa Salinas conducted a stop for a traffic violation in the 400 block of West Blue Bell Road. The front seat passenger was identified as 38-year-old Frankie CJ Ortiz of Brenham. Police say a records check revealed that Ortiz had an active warrant out of Washington County for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. The warrant was confirmed, and Ortiz was taken into custody and booked into the Washington County Jail for the warrant.
At 8:45 p.m., Officer Darrell Nunn Jr. was conducting a routine patrol in the 1400 block of South Austin Street when he initiated a traffic stop for a violation he observed. The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of 66-year-old Fredenia Matthews-Green of Brenham for an outstanding warrant out of Washington County for Theft of Property $30,000 - $150,000. Matthews-Green was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in without incident.
