WASHINGTON CO. CARES DONATES OVER $13,000 TO BRENHAM PD
A Washington County organization is giving back to the Brenham Police Department.

Members of Washington County Cares presented officials from the department and the City of Brenham with a check on Thursday for $13,526.
The donation comes by way of proceeds from the club’s celebratory luncheon in early May, honoring the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Brenham Police Department.
The funds raised are being put into the Brenham Police Community Fund. Police Chief Gary Boshears said at the luncheon that the funding would support programs that provide physical, mental, financial and spiritual assistance for members of the department.
Washington County Cares focuses on service projects, community engagement and leadership development, supporting local initiatives and collaborating to create meaningful change in Washington County.
