ROUND TOP MUSIC FESTIVAL GETTING UNDERWAY NEXT WEEK
The Round Top Festival Institute will soon kick off the 55th year of the Round Top Music Festival.
Musicians from around the globe will come to the Festival Hill campus, 248 Jaster Road in Round Top, for six weeks of performances.
The season-opening chamber music concert will be on Saturday, June 6th at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Texas Festival Orchestra’s opening concert at 7:30 p.m. Additional concerts are set for each weekend through Saturday, July 11th, each led by different conductors.
A patriotic concert to celebrate Independence Day will be held on Sunday, June 28th at 3 p.m., with special American Composers concerts on Saturday, July 4th at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 5th at 3 p.m. The season-closing concerts will be on Saturday, July 11th at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
