BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, MULTIPLE OTHER ASSAULT CHARGES IN 12 WEEKEND BOOKINGS
Brenham police reported a busy weekend, with 12 arrests made between Friday and Saturday.
Around 6:45 a.m. Friday, Officer Rosa Salinas was dispatched to Highway 36 North and West Blue Bell Road in reference to a hit-and-run crash. Officers later located the suspect vehicle parked nearby. During the investigation, police detected the odor of burnt marijuana, and they say a probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Kentrell O’Bryan Peacock of Houston, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Shortly after 10 a.m., Sergeant Sierra Randle responded to the 900 block of Hasskarl Drive in reference to a physical disturbance. After investigation, 39-year-old Johntavius Devon Smith of Brenham was taken into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Smith was booked into the Washington County Jail.
Nearing 1 p.m., Officer Salinas and Officer Navone Gurley observed a wanted fugitive in the 700 block of South Jackson Street. 24-year-old Tamarcus Rashon McWilliams of Brenham was arrested for a warrant out of Washington County for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
Around 5 p.m., Officer Eric Crosby made a warrant arrest in the 600 block of South Market Street. 27-year-old Raekwon Bell of Brenham was taken into custody on Washington County warrants for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and Assault of a Family/Household Member Impeding Breath/Circulation. Bell was transported to the Washington County Jail.
A few minutes after 5:45 p.m., Officer Darrell Nunn Jr. responded to a report of a reckless driver in the 600 block of Alma Street. The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of 81-year-old Virginia Fischer of Brenham for Driving While Intoxicated.
Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, K9 Sergeant Jimmy Ha was dispatched to the intersection of Gay Hill Street and Campbell Street in reference to shots fired in the area. After further investigation, 25-year-old Damarcus Harrison of Burton was placed into custody for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Harrison was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked without incident. According to police, no one was injured, nor was any property damaged.
Close to 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of FM 389 in reference to suspicious activity. Officers made contact with a subject, identified as 29-year-old Eric Gael Hernandez of Burton, who police say had an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and Hernandez was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More. He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
A few minutes past 9:45 a.m., Officer Gurley and Officer Gabriel Duran responded to the 2000 block of FM 389 in reference to a disturbance. Police say their on-scene investigation revealed that 20-year-old Roreberto Castillo-Garcia of Brenham had allegedly assaulted a known family member. Castillo-Garcia was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence Impeding Breath/Circulation and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Shortly after 6:45 p.m., Officer Duran observed a vehicle traveling in the 100 block of the Highway 290 eastbound access road with a defective brake lamp. Police conducted a traffic stop and determined that the driver, 34-year-old Consuelo Yami Fernandez of Houston, had outstanding warrants out of Tarrant County: Theft of Property $2,500 - $30,000 and Theft of Property $100 - $750. She was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants and for Failure to Identify as a Fugitive. The passenger, 56-year-old Patricia Moedano of Houston, was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant out of Dallas County for Larceny. The two were transported to the Washington County Jail.
Just after 10:30 p.m., Officer Nunn responded to the 900 block of Robinhood Road in reference to a disturbance. According to police, their investigation revealed that 51-year-old Linda Moore of Brenham allegedly assaulted a family member. Moore was taken into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
Coming up on midnight, Officer LeDarion Jenkins responded to the 400 block of Peabody Street in reference to a weapon-involved situation. After further investigation, 34-year-old Rebecca Nichole Gouldson of Brenham was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
