BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR VEHICLE BURGLARY, ASSAULT WARRANT, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Brenham police arrested three people between Saturday and early this (Monday) morning.
At 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Officer Trinten Rolling responded to the 900 block of Hasskarl Drive in reference to a property damage call. Investigation revealed that no initial offense occurred. However, police say 25-year-old Jasmine Morgan of Brenham showed to have an active warrant out of Brenham Municipal Court for Assault by Contact and two warrants out of Washington County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace for No Driver’s License and Failure to Drive in a Single Lane. Morgan was placed into custody for the warrants and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Just after 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Corporal Grayson Marburger responded to the 100 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a person reported to be suspicious. Upon further investigation, police found that the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Amber Machala of Sealy, had allegedly entered the driver’s seat of a running vehicle without the effective consent of the owner. Machala was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked for Burglary of a Vehicle.
Around 1:15 a.m. today, K9 Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of West Blue Bell Road and Higgins Street. According to police, their investigation found that the driver was in possession of a handgun and narcotics. 18-year-old Lorenzo Andrade of Brenham was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
