WALLER ISD PROMOTES BREANA SMITH TO WALLER HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

  

The Waller Independent School District has named Breana Smith as the new principal of Waller High School.

Smith has been the associate principal at the school since 2023 and brings more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and academic achievement specialist to her new role. 

She replaces Christopher Oldham, who accepted a leadership position in the Brookshire Royal ISD earlier this summer.

According to a press release from Waller ISD, Smith is known for her collaborative approach and open-door policy. She is also dedicated to ensuring every staff member and student has the support and resources needed to succeed.

Smith said that she is excited for the opportunity, and that she looks forward to working even more collaboratively with the entire Waller High School Family.

Waller ISD Superintendent Bennie Mayes said that he is confident that Smith’s familiarity with the campus, combined with her extensive educational background, will ensure a seamless transition and a highly successful school year.

Smith will officially begin her new role as principal immediately.
