WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court is scheduled to meet on Tuesday morning.

Expo Director Harrison Williams is going to be making a presentation regarding the proposed Covered Arena and its associated impacts, including findings from the Hunden study.

Sheriff Trey Holloway is coming before the commissioners with a request to hire a County Jail Transport Deputy for a pay rate exceeding the 6% allowable amount in accordance with county policy.

EMS Director Taylor Leonard will be making presentations regarding the purchase of two Ford Expeditions and a Ford Explorer with funding to be provided from the Tobacco Fund.

The Commissioners are also expected to renew an annual request from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to use County property east of the Precinct One Constable’s Headquarters at 1405 East Blue Bell Road for a Chronic Wasting Disease Check Station and Drop Box during white-tailed deer hunting season.

Meanwhile, Prairie View A&M Extension Agents Adriana Williams and Dr. Tina Henderson will present the Washington County Extension Service’s Quarterly Impact Report.

The Washington County Commissioners meet Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
