SOMERVILLE FAMILY PRACTICE CLINIC HOLDS RIBBON CUTTING

  

The new Somerville Family Practice Clinic celebrated its recent opening on Thursday with a ribbon cutting and open house.

Visitors were able to meet nurse practitioner Rochelle Adams of Brenham and her team and learn about the services offered by the clinic.  KTEX-106 was also on hand with the Wagon Wheel of Prizes.

The clinic first opened in March and is being leased through the Burleson County Hospital District.  HealthPoint closed the clinic in May 2025, stating the reasons of low patient volume and struggles in finding a permanent health care provider.  Adams is operating the clinic independently with a support staff.

Adams told the Burleson County Tribune in April that the clinic has been seeing roughly 25 patients a week, including walk-ins. 

Hours for the clinic are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. 

The clinic is located at 17202 Highway 36 South in Somerville.
