REPORT OF GRASS FIRE ONE OF FOUR CALLS MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FD

  

The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Monday.

Just shy of 12:15 p.m., firefighters responded for a rescue in the 200 block of Highway 290 West.  They made location and found no rescue was needed at the location.

A few minutes before 12:30 p.m., units went out for a fire alarm at Grace Community Fellowship, 107 South Saeger Street.  They arrived and found no issues with the alarm.

A grass fire was called in shortly before 9:15 p.m. at Comfort Suites, 2350 South Day Street.  The department used tank water to extinguish the mulch that was smoldering in the flower beds.

Around 10 p.m., BFD personnel were dispatched to a possible structure fire at a home in the 500 block of Sycamore Street.  Nothing was showing from the exterior of the two-story structure.  Firefighters checked with the resident, and there was no fire at the location.
